The Meghalaya Institute of Natural Resources under Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) organized a one day workshop on 'Scope of Aromatic Plants in Meghalaya' on 9th August at Raj Bhavan, Shillong which was attended by Hon'ble Governor, Ganga Prasad as the Chief Guest.
The workshop was organized with an aim to provide awareness to the people and young entrepreneurs for development of entrepreneurial skills in the area of essential oil processing and value addition and to impart knowledge to participants.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that Meghalaya has ideal conditions for the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants. Prof Anil K Tripathi, Mission Director, Aroma Mission also addressed the guests.
