One-day Awareness cum Training Programme on 'Cultivation and Processing of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants' conducted at Balijan village in Golaghat district, Assam by Team CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam on 3rd June 2022. More than 73 farmers attended the programme.

The farmers of Balijan village were elated on getting good yield of Lemongrass registered variety, Jor Lab L8 of . According to the farmers, this variety is capable of more than 40 to 50 percent oil yield than the other varieties of Lemongrass.
