On 6th May 2018, during the visit of Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh at CSIR - IHBT, MoUs were signed with 7 Farmers' Societies for setting up distillation units at their respective sites. Many ministers and MLA and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. Hon'ble CM also distributed the seeds of Tagetes minuta's improved variety, "Himgold", to the farmers' societies.
