Visit of Team CSIR-IIIM, Jammu to far-flung areas of Dachan to conduct Training cum Awareness programme at Soundar village on 25th November 2021. The programme was attended by 40 farmers. Among them were present some prominent persons of the village viz. Somnath Thakur (Retd. Lecturer), Krishan Nath (Retd. JK police), Jagat Ram (Retd. Supervisor RDD). The chief guest of the program was Ravi Parihar (BDO Dachan). Field surveys were also conducted to identify potential areas for the cultivation of aromatic crops viz. Lavender and Clary sage. The team also interacted with the farmers and unemployed youth of the area and apprised them about the efforts made by CSIR-IIIM, Jammu for the socio-economic development in J&K under CSIR-Aroma Mission.
