Team CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bangalore conducted a three-day training programme on 'Improved production technologies of medicinal and aromatic plants and aromatic oils' at Gandhigram in Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu from 20th to 22nd February 2020. 50 participants including farmers, entrepreneurs and NGOs attended this training, wherein the demonstrations on absolute, concrete and distillation units, vermicompost technology, and nursery techniques for different crops were conducted. The training also covered marketing of raw drugs, processing technologies of medicinal and aromatic crops, products and entrepreneurship development in Vetiver, and agrotechnology and business opportunities in Geranium.
