Three-day training programme on 'Improved Production Technologies of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants & Aromatic Oils’ conducted under CSIR Aroma Mission Phase-II at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bangalore during March 23-25, 2021. Total 31 participants from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra attended the training. Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director, Csir Cimap addressed the participants through virtual mode in the inaugural session. He stressed on the importance of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPS) and the role of CIMAP and Aroma Mission in enhancing farmers and entrepreneurs' income. Two beneficiary farmers of Aroma Mission Phase-I, Mr. Bheemananda Chougle from Athani (Belagavi district) and Sujit Desai from Haveri shared their first-hand experience with the cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) and its benefits.
