The CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru (Kerala Team), organized a one-day awareness program on advanced cultivation techniques for medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) under the CSIR-Aroma Mission, Phase-III (HCP-0007) Project in collaboration with  Swami Vivekananda medical mission, Agali. The event took place on 19th December 2025, in the Tribal Hamlet Daivakund (N 1104.019’ E76036.456’), Agali, Palakkad (D), Kerala. Sayuraj kk, project coordinator  welcomed the gathering, followed by the presidential address from Sri Ravindreen, trustee, Swami Vivekananda medical mission, Agali. Over 85 farmers from three neighboring hamlets—Donikund, Kallamala, and Dundooru—actively participated in the session, with a near-equal representation of male (43) and female (42) farmers. The training focused primarily on the cultivation of lemongrass and other aromatic plants, offering in-depth insights into advanced cultivation techniques. An interactive session followed, where farmers had the opportunity to raise questions on various topics such as processing methods, marketing strategies, and best practices for planting aromatic plants.
