CSIR-IHBT organized “Sustainable Aroma Farming: Industry, Farmer & Academia Meet” under the CSIR-Aroma Mission on September 23, 2024. More than 100 farmers, industrialists and scientists participated in this program.  Industrialists from Mumbai, Maharashtra; Ahmadabad, Gujrat; Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana participated in this program.  Dr. Manish Das, Director ICAR-DMAPR, Anand, Gujarat, served as the chief guest and Guest of Honour Sh. Surender Mohan, Natural Biotech Products and Sh. Ramakant Harlalka, Nishant Aroma Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, Maharashtra. Two Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were also signed to strengthen collaboration, facilitate technology transfer, and establish strategic linkages with the industry. Seeds of Palmarosa, German chamomile and clary sage were also distributed to the farmers. Dr Sudesh Kumar Yadav, Director CSIR-IHBT presided over the event. His opening remarks highlighted the institute's activities and possible opportunities for farmers and industries were discussed.
