Training programme on cultivation and processing of aromatic crops under CSIR-Aroma Mission Phase II

Team CSIR-IHBT conducted training programme on cultivation and processing of aromatic crops at Bunga Birora village in Paati block, Lohaghat, Champawat district, Uttarakhand under CSIR-Aroma Mission Phase II from October 1-5, 2021. The processing unit installed under Aroma Mission project was inaugurated by Shri Puran Singh Fartyal, Hon'ble MLA of Lohaghat constituency, Uttarakhand in the presence of local farmers, IHBT scientists and Chief Development Officer of Champawat district, District Rural Development Officers and members of APAAR. Eighty women farmers, unemployed youth including rural development officials of Champawat district also participated in the concluding day program. Farmers were provided training in cultivation and post-harvest management of aromatic crops. The team also visited Rosemary, Wild Marigold, scented Geranium and Damask Rose clusters.
